Four dates have been added to the Ultimate Guitar Experience Tour with Uli Jon Roth, featuring special guests Andy Timmons and Jennifer Batten.

New dates in Little Rock, AR, El Paso, TX and Omaha, NE have been added to the itinerary and the show scheduled in San Jose, CA at Rockbar has been moved to The Saddlerack in Fremont, CA.

The new dates (full itinerary is below):

3/1 Little Rock, AK Metroplex
3/6 El Paso, TX Mesa Music Hall
3/13 Fremont, CA The Saddlerack
3/23 Omaha, NE Slowdown

The tour, which kicked off in Ft. Lauderdale on 26 February and concludes in Melbourne, FL on 8 April, will hit eighteen US states and three Canadian provinces.

Roth says, ““I’m happy to say that there will two fellow great guitarists on tour with me this time; none other than the fabulous Jennifer Batten and the very talented Andy Timmons. Together we’ll be celebrating the spirit of our favourite instrument – the electric guitar!

“I’m really looking forward to this tour and I’m sure that between the three of us – and the audience – sparks will fly!” he concludes.

All three guitarists will first play solo sets featuring their own music and then join together for a jam session at the end of each evening. Uli’s own set is to be drawn from his entire back catalogue, including his latest release,’Scorpions Revisited’ (out on UDR Music) as well as ‘Transcendental Sky Guitar’ and will emphasize material from the Electric Sun period. “I haven’t played the Electric Sun stuff live in thirty years and it deserves to be heard,” declares Uli. “This is in order to celebrate the thirty five year anniversary of the first Electric Sun album, ‘Earthquake.’

Andy Timmons, who is currently finishing up his new album ‘The Next Voice You Hear’ at West Bay Hi Fi in Dallas TX says, “I’m honoured that Uli has asked me to join his Ultimate Guitar Tour! He is truly one of the greatest guitarists to emerge from the ’70s rock scene and is the ‘real deal’ Jennifer Batten is equally inspiring. I know I will learn so much on this tour. The first night was electric!!!” First gaining notoriety on the international stage with late 1980’s era band Danger Danger, Timmons has gone on to forge a highly respected career as an instrumental guitarist with 10 solo records performing alongside longtime friends and heroes Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson and Mike Stern. Andy is also a member of the fusion band “Protocol” that features drumming legend Simon Phillips.

Jennifer Batten is widely recognized as the six string fretmaster on Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad,’ ‘Dangerous’ and ‘HIStory’ tours as well as his 1993 Super Bowl appearance in front of a worldwide audience of over 1.5 billion people in more than 80 countries. Aside from her three solo albums she has also appeared on releases from the likes of Jeff Beck (whom she also toured alongside), Michael Sembello, Dave Martone and several others. Regarding her participation in the Ultimate Guitar Experience Tour, she adds, ‘I am so thrilled to be part of this fun tour! It’s so inspiring to be able to play with these monster players and spend some time in America for a change. It’s a band sandwich where I get to do my solo film show as the middle set and then join everybody at the end.”

Roth will also present a new concept related to VIP pass holders. He explains in detail: “Each night, before the main concert and during soundcheck we are going to perform a dedicated Acoustika Concert, featuring different songs from those of the main event for the VIP Pass holders exclusively.

He says, “This is an unusual idea, but I always felt that songs are benefiting greatly from being played in front of a live audience – before actually recording them – and I am sure that this will help us to galvanize things and to fully crystallize the new material that I have written.”
