ZEROKING IS SET ON SELF DESTRUCTION

(Huntington, WVa – 20 February 2012) Rising West Virginia hard rockers, Zeroking have just released their first full length album (and third effort overall), Kings of Self Destruction via new upstart label, Vanity Music Group.

Equal parts classic metal ala Guns N’ Roses and Motley Crue and modern hard rock in the vein of Hinder and Buckcherry, Kings Of Self Destruction covers all the bases. Kicking off with the slamming, “Dead Rockstar“, the band tears through an hour’s worth of material, including the hook laden first single, “Stone Cold Bitch“, the southern rock flavoured, “Southern Lady X Godiva“, the pop oriented, “Love Is Dead” (which features Stacee Lawson on a duet) and the melancholic “Valentine.

13 songs in total, the digital version of Kings of Self Destruction also features an additional 3 bonus tracks.

“The album really takes the listener on a journey through a wide range of emotions,” says Zeroking frontman, Andy Haught. “A lot happened in all our lives during the writing process ranging from divorces to the band literally self destructing but in the end,we had a strong batch of songs that rock really hard yet show our wide spectrum of influences.”

Formed in 2005, Zeroking has become a top drawing act in the Mid Atlantic region, sharing the stage with the likes of Anthrax, Twisted Sister, Bobaflex, Dope, Black Stone Cherry and many, many other acts. The band released an Ep, ‘Sweet Sale Of Excess’ in 2006 to critical and fan praise. Entering the studio in the summer of 2009, they began work on Kings of Self Destruction with producer, Steve Riley.

Zeroking is comprised of: Andy Haught – Lead Vocals, Shane Day – Guitars, Paul “JP” First – Bass and Christopher Webb – Drums.

ZEROKING UNLEASHES ‘A TASTE OF SELF DESTRUCTION’

(Huntington, WV – 21 June 2011) – Rising US hard rock quartet, ZeroKing have released their new Ep, A Taste Of Self Destruction through Vanity Music Group. The five tracks on offer, “Girls Of California”, “Stone Cold Bitch”, “She Said”, “Black Friday” and “Kings Of Self Destruction” are all pulled from the band’s sophomore release, Kings Of Self Destruction, which drops on 27 September 2011.

“After the release of our digital single, we wanted to make those songs available at our shows as well,” frontman, Andy Haught says. “So, we decided to package those along with three other songs from the ‘Kings …’ record that are staples in our live set. The next logical decision was to make all 5 songs available online as either single tracks or as a very affordable digital EP.. We feel this is a great way to get these songs out quickly to our fans while we are shoring up the release details for “KOSD” and help spread our name and music more to build both our fanbase and the anticipation for the full length CD.”
Formed in Huntington, West Virginia in early 2005, the band has shared the stage with artists such as Anthrax, Twisted Sister, Bobaflex, Jackyl, Dope, Black Stone Cherry, Airbourne and many more, becoming the “go to” band for regional promoters needing a secure draw and an act that can step into the ring with anyone. The band has gone on to play events such as Rocklahoma, X Fest,103.1 The Bear’s ‘Party Like A Rockstar’ Festival, and Bearfest, amongst a host of other high profile events.

In the summer of 2009 ZeroKing entered Smash Hit Studios in Huntington, WV., to begin tracking the Kings Of Self Destruction album with producer and engineer Steve Riley. Comprised of 13 tracks, the session produced a tour de force of hard rock and metal. From anthemic rockers, to songs chock full of heavy metallic riffage, the album contains more than enough to satiate fans of new school, old school, and everything in between. As if all that wasn’t enough, the session produced a couple of melodic, captivating ballads, showcasing yet another strong dimension of the band.

ZeroKing’s single, “Stone Cold Bitch” b/w “Girls Of California” was released in March and can be purchased on iTunes at this link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/stone-cold-bitch-single-single/id423221702?ls=1.

ZEROKING RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE, “STONE COLD BITCH”

(17 March, 2011 – Huntington, WV) On the rise hard rock act Zeroking have just released their debut single, “Stone Cold Bitch” (b/w “”Girls Of California”) digitally on Wednesday, 16 March through newly formed Vanity Music Group.

One of the top drawing bands in the Mid Atlantic region, the Huntington, WV based quartet has shared the stage with Bobaflex, Nonpoint and Saving Abel, amongst others. Rock Addict Radio voters chose Zeroking “Top Metal Band of 2010″ even though the band didn’t even have any current product on the shelves yet.

Culled from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, Kings Of Self Destruction, “Stone Cold Bitch” was produced by the band and Steve Riley and is a raucous blast of energy, politically incorrect and controversial, with a chorus that has quickly become a sing-along fan favorite. “Girls of California” is instantly infectious featuring Slipknot style heaviness and Beach Boys influenced harmonies, that attempts to quantify at least one way you know are “bound for stardom”, but you’ll have to listen to the lyrics to find out for yourself.

“We’ve been working and perfecting these tunes since right after we played Rocklahoma 2009 and it feels great for people to finally get to hear this record.” vocalist Andy Haught states. “While I dont think these encompass the entire scope of the 13 songs on KOSD, I do feel these two songs are a great introduction to our energy and vibe, and I cant wait for people to hear the rest of the record when we finalize our release details.”

The single is available from iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, eMusic and other legal download sites.
